Out of the labyrinth

[The Weng'an incident, which hasn't been as intensely covered by Western press as Tibet, shows the urgency of China's getting out of the labyrinth - The traditional cycle of violence-as-opposition-of-violence and oppression of information gets China nowhere. ]

  3. Sure. But also keep in mind, what those of us who are outside of China says are far less influential to the public sentiment than they are.

Funny thing is, blogs outside of China, at least those I read, are far less one sided - assuming the actions must be justified, than those inside. CCP government has serious credibility issues. And those who live under such environment seemingly loses critical way of thinking quickly.

  4. It also seem interesting to me that no one seems willing to take responsibilities: from Government, to commoners, to those who takes part in the nuclear actions, to those who "misled" by others, to those who spread rumors etc. Of course, there's also Runner Fan.

  6. I know, it's not fair. That's why I've been never overtly critical of China. After all, it's those who live it that have the rights to determine it.
